Toronto Junction Business Spotlight // Pi Co. Pizza Bar

Who doesn’t love an authentic slice of pizza?

That’s exactly what Pi Co. is serving up, and it’s one of the newer businesses popping up in The Junction.

Owners Goran and Maegan are the masterminds behind The Junction’s Pi Co. location, which is perched at the Dundas and Keele intersection. Like other businesses in the area, they chose The Junction because of the undeniable community feel. A small neighbourhood in a big city, The Junction boasts a friendly family vibe where area residents all seem to know each other. And what better way to help them gather at familiar meeting spots than with a cozy pizza joint?

Goran and Maegan always wanted to get involved in a passion project and do something on their own, but started looking to franchises with the prospect of opening a business. Pi Co. stood out to them because of the strong brand, product, and concept.

And of course, the wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas were tough to ignore. Especially in a community with lots of kids, you can’t go wrong with pizza!

The pair also loved the fact that Pi Co. is a Toronto brand and understood the importance of supporting local businesses.

As far as the pizza goes, you’d be hard-pressed to find as much of a selection of toppings as you will at Pi Co. In fact, they offer over 60 toppings to choose from! You can create a truly unique pizza to suit your tastes, or simply to experiment with and try something new. Visit in person and the team will whip up your pizza right in front of you. Otherwise, you can always order online.

Another unique feature of Pi Co. is their pizza ovens, which are so hot that pizzas bake in as little as a minute and a half! And thanks to their liquor license, Pi Co. also offers a selection of beer and wine. So if you’re looking to enjoy a casual family dinner, Mom and Dad can enjoy a beverage or two while the kiddos dive deep into their pizza masterpieces.

As if the pizzas weren’t reason enough to visit Pi Co., there’s also a pay-it-forward element to their business. Both Goran and Maegan are heavily involved in community service and have volunteered for many years. Their belief is that businesses are responsible for supporting their local community that supports them.

With that spirit in mind, they’ll soon be launching a program in which they’ll donate a portion of their in-store sales every Tuesday to a local charity in the neighborhood. Local Facebook groups will also be involved in helping them choose the charity.
