Junction Triangle Business Spotlight // Le Dolci

The Junction Triangle is brimming with so many great local businesses that we could carry on our Business Spotlight series for years. Today, we’ll be focusing on Le Dolci, a fantastic bakery in the area that offers a lot more than your average bakery.

While you can certainly indulge in your favourite baked goods, Le Dolci also provides a host of other baked-related offerings. Their Junction Triangle business operates as an event space that hosts corporate events, culinary classes, and kids camps. It even serves as a space for commercials, TV, and movie filming.

Parents will love their kids camps, which will be taking place in-person this summer and run every day from 9am-3pm. The kids can get their little fingers dirty making their very own creations from scratch. This summer, the kids we’ll be trying their hands at decorating 2-tiered cakes, which might sound a bit advanced, but the kids seem to pick up their skills quickly.

In addition to baking, the kids will have a chance to get outside and go for a walk along the Path and get their bodies moving with a little dancing. Every class begins with some meditating, and lunch is provided.

Adults aren’t left out: there are evening classes available for the big kids where they’ll learn to bake various goodies from start to finish. Students will learn how to make all sorts of different treats, from croissants, to macarons, to cupcakes, and beyond. These classes aren’t just great for learning a new skill but can be awesome for corporate team-building events, parties, and even date nights.

Some classes are also virtual thanks to the pandemic. For these classes, all ingredients lists are provided, and in many cases, the entire ingredients list is shipped right to your front door across Canada. These classes are taught by talented and certified pastry chefs, so you’ll be learning from the best.

Owner Lisa also operates out of another location at Dufferin and Castlefield where they do all of their baking that’s sold to grocery stores like Loblaws and Fortinos, to specialty stores like Harvest Wagon in Yorkville, as well as through their website where sweet treats can be ordered online and delivered right to your door.

The Junction Triangle makes for the perfect location for Le Dolci. The unit itself offers Lisa and her team the optimal space for creating and hosting events, and the surrounding area is peppered with great customers who flock to the bakery. But their reach goes far beyond the Junction Triangle and goes as far as internationally!
